ROSIE WILKINS

Rosie is a Bournemouth based designer working on projects locally in Dorset, as well as further afield, with a portfolio that currently spans from Sheffield to Cornwall.

"Having spent 5 years studying Landscape Architecture at the University of Sheffield, I now enjoy working on both domestic and small public projects. While they follow the same key principles, the change in user, scale and purpose draws on different skills and aspects of design. I find this experience of working across both disciplines really beneficial to my development as a designer.

 

With a Danish mother I take great inspiration from the Scandinavian culture. I believe the key to their design success is largely the result of their focus on the process, as opposed to the finished product. If the process is thoughtful and

well-considered, the end product will be outstanding. To focus on the outcome too early is too limit the design to luck.

 

While living in Sheffield I really enjoyed having the Peak District on my doorstep to go walking and running. Wherever I go, I continue to enjoy finding new trails to explore, so if I'm not at my desk, I'm probably outside!" - RW
